Walmart Wildcats

Kevin Carson has a very interesting left-libertarian argument in defense of the Walmart strikers. While I do not share all of Mr. Carson's left-libertarian views, he makes some very interesting points, and just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday and Black Friday.  Definitely worth a read.

The Holy Mayor

I wish I had found this earlier, but Vittorio Citterich has written an excellent article (please scroll down after clicking on the link, the article starts a little further down on the page) on the career of Giorgio La Pira, the former Mayor of Florence, Italy, and one of the leading lights of the left-wing of Italian Christian Democracy in the post-war era. Mr. Citterich's article is definitely a must read.

The End Of The New Democrats?

Michael Lind has an interesting article wherein he contends that we may be seeing the end of the era of the New Democrats, the neoliberal tendency within the Democratic Party. I hope Mr. Lind is right.
