  1. I know next to nothing about how the "Gold Standard" works so I cannot make any opinion on it.

    But I will say that the whole "real" "intrinsic" value argument is lame. Gold was never valuable until western society said it was.

    What's a Native American name for gold?
    "The-yellow-metal-that-drives-the-white-man-crazy".
